I have added a resource page where you can place links that you find that might be helpful in our review and updating of the media handbook.
The Barrow County Media Center Handbook will be updated this school year. It is my hope that most of the work can be done using the wiki along with Google Docs or another document hosting service.
If you need a copy of the handbook as it is, you can download a copy. It is in MS Word format.
Please create yourself a Google account. You can do so at this link. Please use your school email address for this because the invitation to "share" the documents with you will be sent to your school address.
Once you have been invited to share a document, you will need to access it on Google Docs. To access the Media Center Handbook and your respective section, you will need to log into your Google account here. There will be several documents available. One will be the entire handbook, which won't be edited as a group. We'll leave it as a historical document.
The handbook has been broken down into the following documents/sections. Even though we may only have two or three people working on a section, everyone will have the opportunity to provide input, suggest changes, etc. Each section will not only have it's own document, but it's own page in this wiki as well.
Everyone is invited to use the section pages to discuss changes (note the discussion tab at the top of each page), jot down ideas that might be later incorporated into the document, etc.
